Q. What is your Wedding Photography style?
A.
Our style is a blend of contemporary photojournalism and traditional photography. We believe in a storytelling approach to your day, which means capturing the many elements involved, including the location, details, colors, emotions, surprise, fun, beauty and uniqueness of your wedding day. Our studio doesn't simply record who was there and what happened, but how people felt that day and how beautiful the whole experience was for you. Your album will be a journal of this important moment in your lives together. We believe that your formal family portraits after the ceremony should be done quickly and efficiently, so that you and your family may get back to enjoying your wedding day with your guests. Working in the digital medium offers us and you the maximum flexibility and creativity with your images. We can create your images of this important day in color, black & white or sepia, depending on the mood of the photograph and the desired artistic effect..
Q. How Far in Advance are you Booked?
A. Certain times of the year book out 12 months or more in advance. Also, particular dates are more popular than others. Summer and fall weekends tend to fill up quickly, so you will want to book your photographer as soon as possible. We photograph only a select number of weddings a year in order to maintain a high level of service and to give your wedding the attention it deserves. Please call us to check availability.
Q. What is your Wedding Photography style?
A. Jeff photographs each wedding often with the aid of an assistant or additional female photographer. We work together as a team to make sure we capture all the excitement, emotion and elegance of your wedding celebration.
What Type of Equipment do you use?
A.
Because our style leans toward photojournalistic – contemporary photography, we need to work with a camera that is fast enough to capture spontaneous moments as they happen. Nikon lenses and cameras have always been our choice for this type of work.  We are constantly updating our equipment, computers and software and only use the finest equipment available to entrust in on your wedding day.  We prefer to work with natural light as much as possible, and to use long lenses to capture the emotion from a distance.
How many Pictures do you Take?
A.
Because we work exclusively in the digital medium, we don't limit the number of images taken on your wedding day. This often amounts to over 1,000 images depending on the length of the day. This gives us the freedom to take as many shots as needed to get just the right expression or emotion. We edit these images in our studio, and you will be able to choose the best photographs to tell the story of your day.

Leather Craftsman Albums- These handmade albums are covered with high-quality leather and library-bound to withstand the test of time. A range of sizes and styles are available, including beautiful Fine Art Books (individual images mounted one to a page). These albums are made to order. Slipcases are available.

What is the Payment Schedule?
A.
A $500 retainer (applied towards your total booking) is required at time of contract signing. This retainer secures your date with our studio. Since our studio policy is that we don't photograph more than one wedding a weekend, this can be very important that you retain your day with us as soon as possible.  A second $500 payment is required 90 days before the date, and the balance is due 30 days before the wedding. We accept cash, check and credit cards.
Do you want me to Provide you with a List of "Must Have" Photographs?
A.

As a photojournalistic wedding photographer, this approach doesn't incorporate the many candid moments of your day. Each wedding is unique, and therefore a set checklist will not work. Some couples choose to incorporate cultural traditions such as tea ceremonies, getting married under a huppah, or “jumping the broom.” Other couples will incorporate special details into the ceremony or the reception. We like to discuss the day in detail with the bride and groom about three weeks prior to the wedding in order to plan for capturing these special moments and details. For example, knowing that you and your fiancé are wine lovers and took special care to choose the wine served at dinner, may result in a great picture of the wine bottle. We had one client whose mother had brought maple leaf cookies from Canada to the wedding reception, and knowing about this in advance allowed us to be able to take a special photo of these cookies for the couple.

What about Formal Family Portraits after the Ceremony?
A.

We work to get the portraits done as quickly and painlessly as possible. It always helps to designate someone who is not part of the wedding party to gather important people that you would like to have in your family photographs. Portraits are not precisely posed, but rather are done in a way that reflects the natural personalities of the people being photographed. We do not need a list of “must have” shots, but if you have a special request or a person that you would like to be sure to get a photograph with please let us know.

How soon after the Wedding can we See our Wedding Images?
A.

We will schedule an appointment about two weeks after you return from your honeymoon for you to come to the studio to view your images. We suggest that you bring your family members with you to see the images so they can share this experience with you, of reliving your wedding day.

How should we Dress for the Engagement Session?
A.

It is important to carefully choose the outfits to be worn to the engagement shoot as this will impact the quality of your photographs. Solid colors work best, as patterns tend to distract the eye. Outfits should be coordinated to compliment one another, and matching colors are encouraged. Clothing should reflect the location chosen for the photographs, for example, outdoor locations should be done in casual clothing.
